- I hope to have launch my other site within the week.....but I am certainly no tech genius, and I want the same functions/graphics in place there as here before I officially launch. Currently, the info is there, but it is not so attractive....!

Changing My Web Address Soon!
Hi all, as much as I didn't really want to hassle, I have finally started making the switch to a wordpress platform. This will allow me to chat with you guys in the comment section, among other things.
Tessa, I am doing the very same thing. But mine won't be occurring any time soon as I am trying to design my own template. I have played around with wordpress for quite some time now and have found that it allows you to do pretty much anything you want it to. My original mistake was not knowing that there was a significant difference between wordpress.org and wordpress.com. I wish you well and hope you get it exactly like you want it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary...I took the 'easy' route and payed someone to design the look, but it was relatively inexpensive, under $100. I looked carefully into the .com .org versions and quickly decided I would need the .org version to do what i wanted and give myself the most flexibility.
ReplyDeleteHi Tessa,
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be great! And thank you for the motivation! I am going to have to change over to SOMETHING else soon, as I've reached my 20 page limit with blogger. I have many more pages I need to add. When I started my blog, I had no idea things would expand as they have. I will make a change in June. I'll be asking you some questions for sure! And I would love your installation reference. Thanks for blazing the trail friend!
Hugs,
-Amber
Good luck with your switch to wordpress! I am a self-hosted wordpress.org blog. I've never been on blogger, so I can't compare the two, but I will say I sometimes find it hard to find good plug-ins easily. That's my biggest frustration with it.
